If you’re in the Northern U.S. or Canada, you might’ve noticed it’s pretty cold outside.
Well the Mars Curiosity Rover (@MarsCuriosity) is currently in the Gale Crater over on Mars. It’s -8ºC over there, which works out to a tad under 18ºF. In other words, a good chunk of the northern U.S. (and a whole lotta Canada) is actually colder than Mars.
In case you haven’t been keeping track, Mars is also 141.6 million miles away from the Sun, or a little over 48.6 million miles further than Earth. Might be time for a little vacation, eh?
